We are currently in a short period of statutory Consultation when the people of Potton can give their views and the Town Council would appreciate your support.

You may be aware that in the Government’s drive for new houses Potton has been allocated to have up to 250, in the period 2011 to 2026.
Central Beds have proposed that 150 houses, with about 12 small Industrial units will be built on the fields to the East of Biggleswade Road between the BP Garage and the Hollow football/cricket ground– stretching back to the Brook and Pegnut Wood.
In addition a further 90 houses are proposed for the field south of the Paddocks and adjoining The Ridgeway.

After seeing residents’ comments in the Town Plan and the Central Beds proposals, the Town Council are objecting to the size of these developments and have proposed smaller developments of up to a maximum of 50 houses each. This will give an opportunity for the new residents to integrate into the Town, and become part of our wonderful community.

We are currently in a short period of statutory Consultation when the people of Potton can give their views and the Town Council would appreciate your support. I have attached two Word documents for you to print (one each for the two sites) in the format required by Central Beds. They have been completed with suggested set answers ( do please change to reflect your own views ) Also complete your personal details on the first page, and sign and date on the third page.
After completion you can either deliver them back to me or drop into the boxes I will leave in Cameron’s and the Potton Vineyard Church offices in the Market Square.

Do not send them direct to Central Beds
I will empty the boxes each day.
The final collection will be at mid day on Monday the 8th March as the consultation period closes at 5pm on that day.

If you feel able to forward this to other residents of Potton, or give printed forms to your neighbours and friends, I should be most obliged.
