'Memories of the Musicals' fund raising for Cancer Research UK
`MEMORIES OF THE MUSICALS’ is coming to The Old Coach House, Potton
Saturday 17th October 2009, 7.30 p.m.
Bill and Mabel Johnstone lived in Potton for many years and while Mabel cooked the Sunday dinner, Bill and his boys would take a beer or two in The Old Coach House, Market Square, Potton.
Their son, Keith remains a regular so, when his family decided to fund raise for Cancer Research UK, the Coach House was the first venue they thought of.
Keith, being a bit of a thespian himself, has a talented family and good friends who are offering their `Memories of the Musicals’.
Between them they will reprise songs from leading roles they’ve performed in `Hello Dolly’, `My Fair Lady’, `Chorus Line’ and ‘Guys & Dolls’, with more up to date items from ‘We Will Rock You’, `Mamma Mia’ and ‘Wicked’.
Margaret Johnstone and her daughter Xanthe have sung many leads in their local operatic societies, whilst son Dominic has gained vocal acclaim as a national karaoke winner!
The youngest of the family performers is eleven year old Alexandra, Xanthe’s daughter, who has recently been recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ and being a ‘Most Dedicated’ student with The Academy Arts Stage School (pictured).
Come along and enjoy a happy evening of fun and song.
